BEAUTY AND THE BEAST PROJECT - REPORT

26 September – 25 October, 2009 in the frames of special programme of the Third Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art a final Russian-German exhibition of the project «Art on Site» will take place. TheKaliningrad branch of NCCA presents Beauty and the Beast project of the art duo EMPFANGSHALLE (Corbinian BÖhm and Michael Gruber) from Munich, Germany.

Living in a Modern Society Exhibition

Kalmar Konstmuseum (Sweden) in collaboration with Kaliningrad Branch of the National Centre for Contemporary Arts present Living in a Modern Society exhibition.

The opening of the exhibition will be held on November 13, 2009 in the Kaliningrad State Art Gallery.

PRESENTATION OF THE PROJECT �PHOTOPHOBIA-2� - REPORT

On April 24, 2009 there was a presentation of the Photofobia-2 project within the framework of the Baltic Biennale of Photography Photomania-2009 at the Kaliningrad Art Gallery.

Photofobia-2 is a program of films created on the basis of photographs. Artists working with various digital media (animation, 3D, video, etc) were invited to take part in the project. Each participant was to fulfill the 2 main terms: provide one image for the other artist to create a film on its basis, and create a film on the basis of one image received from the other participant of the project.

SOLO PHOTO EXHIBITION �BALTYISK� BY ANASTASYA KHOROSHILOVA - REPORT

On April 24 at 4 p.m. there will be a presentation of solo exhibition «Baltyisk» by Anastasya Khoroshilova within the framework of the Baltic Biennale of Photography Photomania-2009 at the Kaliningrad Art Gallery. The audience got an opportunity to see the 14 photos made by the author during her visit to Baltyisk in 2005. Anastasia tried to approach the unique atmosphere of this city, that mixture of history, the army and everyday life and to explain it in visual terms.

MEETING WITH THE ARTIST SHAHRAM ENTEKHABI - REPORT

MEETING WITH THE CURATOR JOANNA WARSZA (WARSAW, POLAND) - REPORT
